SHELL ECO-MARATHON

Asia-Pacific and the Middle East

Shell Eco-marathon is a global academic competition that challenges student teams to design, build, and drive the world’s most energy-efficient vehicles. Unlike traditional racing where the focus is on speed, this event rewards the team that can travel the furthest distance using the least amount of fuel or energy. Participants compete in categories ranging from internal combustion engines to battery-electric and hydrogen fuel cells, often pushing the boundaries of automotive engineering, aerodynamics, and material science. It serves as a hands-on innovation platform for future engineers to develop sustainable mobility solutions and tackle real-world energy challenges.
